Our Story

Celess' Helping Hands was founded to provide additional programs, resources, services, and education for the homeless, youth at risk, disadvantaged, disabled, low to middle income individuals and families in the Southern Metro East, IL area.  There are limited services in our area to address homelessness for young adults who are single with no children.  There is a lack of programs in our area to address the need for youth at risk wanting assistance to understand how to meet their basic needs instead of getting involved in crime or other means of support.  Low to middle income individuals and families often struggle to provide adequate resources for themselves.  They sometimes don't qualify for some services due to their income or location.  We are here to fill in the gaps.  Celess' Helping Hands mission is to instill hope, offer support, services and coordinate resources to enhance the quality of life for these target audiences.

We partner with family, friends, local providers and organizations to assist us with meeting our goals such as, Walmart, SAMS Club, Target, Salvation Army-Belleville, IL, CALC Institute, Hire Level, SIHF, Greenville University, Midwest Career Source, Lessie Bates, Maryville University, Washington University, Harris Stowe, Trenton Sun, Edwardsville Intelligencer, Boost 95.5 FM,106.5 the ARCH, Advantage News.
